Jax,
Mommy and Daddy cannot believe how fast time is going by. These past two months have been an absolute joy and we can't imagine our family without you. This past month has again been filled with firsts that have been so fun for all of us. Here's what you've been up to:
You are a very laid back baby
You weigh 13 pounds and are in the 75th percentile for weight
and are 23 and 1/4 inches long which is the 50th percentile for length.
You are eating 5 ounces every three hours
and are starting to stretch out your feedings at night. You are going anywhere from 5 to 6 1/2 hours.
You are wearing size 2 diapers and 0-3 month clothes, although you've outgrown a lot of your pajamas because of your length.
You love to cuddle and are on a pretty good schedule,
and you are very expressive.
You love your bath and we've made that part of your nighttime routine. You've gotten really strong and can pretty much hold your head up on your own. You also enjoy tummy time.
Here you are at your 2 month check up. You did not like getting your immunizations and it made me so sad to watch you hurt.
You've made a whole bunch of new friends...
And maybe a few girlfriends..
You've continued to have lots of visitors. Here you are with Grandma...
and Ms. Caroline
We survived Mommy's first night back at work
and you went to a lingerie shower (I'm sure you'll be mad about this when you're older!)
And one of the biggest firsts (for mommy at least!), was your first trip to Target:
(clearly you were not as excited as I was...)
We've gone to baseball games, church and several restaurants. You went to the nursery at church for the first time and did great. You are such a sweet boy and you are always easy to take out since you sleep anywhere!
You love your daddy so much
and he was the first one to really make you smile and laugh..
(He was rapping for you and you thought it was hysterical....as did I)
You absolutely love being outside and we've spent a lot of time recently hanging out in the yard on a blanket playing and going for walks.
You love playing in your playpen and talk and smile while you're in there
You still have a ton of hair, and you are still sporting a mullet
And just this past week and a half you've started sucking your thumb and holding the blankie mommy made you.
You are getting so big!
And probably the thing that makes me the happiest and makes me fall in love with you more and more every day...
You love to smile!
You are an incredibly special boy and are loved by so many. We can't wait to see what these next few months bring as you get bigger and start to discover the world. We have some exciting things coming up, (including your first weekend away from mommy and daddy!) as well as some more tests to see how your kidney is doing. We pray for you daily and continue to ask God to heal you and help you to grow healthy and strong both physically and spiritually. You are a treasure!
Love,
Mommy
